If you can't solve it....
by Keely Jackman

Designer Pete Fecteau constructed a portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr out of 4,242 Rubix cubes. We can only assume the subject for the portrait was inspired from Pete "having a dream" about creating an images from the cubes.

The construction process took a little over 40 hours. Each cube has been “reversed solved” or twisted so that one of the faces maps its nine stickers into the total image, 38,178 stickers total. It measures 19′ x 8’6″ x 2.25″ (5.8m x 2.6m x 5.7cm ) and weighs roughly 1000 pounds (454kg).
