NYC street art
by Bronwen Edwards

After popping to the big apple recently, I am inspired and intruiged
by the style of street art over there, particularly the wheat paste work
which in my mind has taken the original roots in spray can graffitti
tagging to a sophisticated art form that uses the environment as a
transient gallery, appears overnight then is left to the elements to
quickly decay. Wheat paste style seems to be defining the street art
style in NYC at the moment. Personally it's a refreshing change from
stencils, opening up a whole new world of techniques and styles. I was
particularly entruiged by a couple of random birds placed mainly in
Williamsburg, but can't seem to find who is responsible, if anyone spots
any more let me know!
